You are entreated to check as soon as possible with the Ghana embassy / high commission in your country regarding visa/entry requirements and apply for visa if you require one at least 4 weeks to your departure. Please use your invitation letter to apply for your visa. We will be happy to provide additional visa support letter if required. Do send us a request if necessary.
The YALS 2026 organising committee has arranged for accommodation for 200 local residents and foreign delegates.
We have 200 accommodation available and is on first pay first serve policy. Accommodation shall be two (2) delegates sharing one room with double beds. This is to encourage networking.
Foreign delegates are expected to arrive on 19th November 2026.
Resident locals or Ghanaian Residents are expected to arrive at their hotel/hostel on 19th November 2026.
Foreign delegates and resident local delegates are expected to depart by 12:00 GMT of 23rd November 2026.
Details of hotels/hostels will be made available a month to the Summit. Please note that accommodation remains unchanged once allocated a room. You can however arrange for your own accommodation.
Anyone wishing to extend their stay does so on their own budget and arrangements. Delegates will be allocated either a double bedroom (sharing with one other delegate thus 2 in a room) or a single room in either a hostel or hotel.
There will be a welcome kiosk and a protocol team to receive foreign delegates at the Airport on 19th November 2026.
Delegates are to book their air travel into Accra ‘ACC’ which is Accra’s main international airport (Kotoka International Airport).
There will be shuttle buses to and from the airport as well as from the hotels/hostels (for those we are accommodating) to the summit auditorium in Accra each day of the summit.
Schedules and operational information relating to this will be communicated in due time.
While we will always keep an updated version of the programme on the summit website, you will be receiving comprehensive details at the event.
Depending on your interests, we will assign you to a focused group for our breakout sessions.

Quote your unique identification number on the pay-in slip. Once you are accredited to attend the Summit, we will create a personalized participant badge/tag for you. This badge must be always clearly visible for purposes of security and access control to the Summit environments.
You will need a valid government-issued identification to pick up your badge. For example, international attendees could present a passport, a Voter’s, or student’s ID card.
The Summit hashtag for social media is #YALS2026.
All sessions will be translated simultaneously in two official languages: English and French.
Breakout sessions will have assigned interpreters to assist all working groups duly.
Participants are to note that insurance for medical, travel, or any other purpose, is their responsibility.
Accra is a safe city, however in the event of any emergency, please seek help.
The Ghana Police Service and the National Ambulance Service will be on-site to provide help in case of security and medical emergencies, respectively.
For any other situation at your allocated residential facilities, reach out to your chaperons or the facility manager.
The currency used in Ghana is the cedis.
Business casual/African print/T-Shirt is suggested for the Summit, with comfortable footwear. You’re reminded to carry a country flag.
We have appointed Country Directors for each country to provide leadership support, assist with delegates welfare, coordinate, and harmonize travel arrangements within each country.
